The purpose of the PMO role is to manage planning and inter-project alignment of the IS Transformation Programme (and any associated projects e.g. path clearing projects, other IS projects) and to track their progress to successful delivery of the planned business outcomes.

The PMO will ideally be an experienced PMO manager with prior experience of planning / scheduling integrated enterprise-wide transformation programmes. The ability to form strong teams with diverse individuals and communicate effectively at all levels, including with senior management, is paramount to the successful completion of the role.

  • Understand Programme Management methodology, processes and controls and ensure that they are followed
  • Create, validate and own the following programme deliverables, working closely with the Workstream Leads, local Deployment Leads and Global Change & PMO Lead:

**Experience in an IS or IT Transformation Programme is of great value for this role.

  • Advanced stakeholder management skills
  • Advanced monitoring and reporting skills
  • Advanced planning skills
  • Advanced ability to detect and resolve problems
  • Intermediate quality management skills
  • Advanced time management skills
  • Advanced communication (verbal, written and listening) skills
  • Advanced issue resolution skills
  • Advanced decision-making skills
  • Advanced ability to work well under stress/pressure for delivery
  • Advanced transition management skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint skills
  • Intermediate budget control skills
  • Intermediate third party supplier management skills


  • APMP Certificate of Project Management
  • Prince 2 or Managing Successful Programmes (MSP)
  • Member of Project Management Institute
  • 5+ years operating in a PMO environment
  • Personally completed the role as Programme PMO on 2+ Transformation programmes
  • Experience of operating in a structured project management environment to a defined methodology and processes
  • Experience of working in FMCG industry desirable
