Performance Management? Not quite dead yet… by Andrew Fox

In this exclusive video for The BTN, Andrew Fox (Group Head of HR, Retail Banking and Wealth Management at HSBC) discusses performance management and how it is an integral underpinning process within organisations. Andrew considers how despite trends, performance management hasn’t died, it has just changed.

He discusses why performance management is needed in organisations and why employees require performance management to succeed. Andrew establishes that HR needs to change performance management processes and how technology is dictating performance management structure. He advises that performance management is not an event that you ‘pencil in’, it’s an ongoing process that acts as a mutual responsibility between employee and manager, no longer using the rating scales and systems, but a conversation.

Andrew recently hosted an event for the BTN on the same topic, which was attended by over 70 hr professionals. This video is an extension of the event and the feedback that Andrew received.
