As we continue to live in uncertain times 2020 has been a very different year for most, if not all, of us and saw us taking our Excellence in Leadership conference online. Given the nature of the year, the two-day virtual conference focused on the pertinent topic “Adapt and Thrive” and had over 1,000 global attendees who tuned in to listen to over 50 different speakers.
Across the two-days, we had some incredible insights from fascinating speakers around a multitude of topics, from the psychology of change and helping teams to thrive to creating a remote culture of innovation and strategic foresight and much more.
Some of our highlights included:
– A session on “Information Asymmetry as a Critical Capability: Using an Organizational Guidance System” with Dave Ulrich (Co-Founder & Principal at The RBL Group) who encountered some deer in his garden mid-session.
– An insightful panel on “Leading from home: will extensive remote working facilitate or frustrate women’s workplace advancement”, led by Tracey Leghorn (CHRO at SUEZ Recycling & Recovery UK) with Kehinde Oluwo (Global Performance Management Lead at FIS), Ian Tomlinson-Roe (Partner – Head of Heidrick Consulting at Heidrick & Struggles) and Professor Henrietta O’Connor Professor of Sociology at University of Leicester).
– An incredible session on “Shaking the Foundations of the Talent Ecosystem” with David Fairhurst (Founder at OrgShakers & previously Exec VP & Global CPO at McDonald’s) and Andy Parsley (OrgShaker).
– An in conversation with Professor Peter Saville (Chairman and Founder of 10x Psychology) on Workplace Psychology
